Our city of Jackson, TN is home to some of the finest pizzerias in the state. We enjoy pizza and would like to share with you some of the best places to get pizza in town.
Picasso Bistro & Pizzeria
Picasso‘s is located at 10 Stonebridge Boulevard and is well known for its special crispy base and fresh ingredients. They’ve been a family-owned and managed pizzeria since 2005. Picasso’s is so well known that loyal fans have driven drive e than an hour to eat some of their fine pizza.
They have fourteen specialty pizzas available, and a very popular build-your-own pizza option. Some of these toppings include lobster and filet mignon, which you won’t find on the menu of many other pizzerias. Our personal favorite is the black and blue with fillet mignon, scallions, red onions, bleu cheese crumbles, and blackening seasoning.
Carrico’s Pizza
Carrico’s is relatively new in town, as they opened in 2018. In this short time, however, they’ve generated large numbers of loyal and enthusiastic fans. Their mission is to “knock people’s socks off” with great pizza, and judging by the number of happy, satisfied customers leaving the restaurant they’re succeeding. Carrico focuses on classic Brooklyn-style thin-crust pizza.
They offer pizza from 14″ to a super 28″ and have a huge range of toppings available. There are no specialty pizzas, as their customers enjoy the fun of choosing their ingredients. We like the build-you-own pizza idea, as it’s far more fun than asking to have ingredients taken off a pizza you’d like. Carrico’s is located at 1370 Union University Drive, Ste B.
Mazzetti’s Pizzeria
Mazzetti’s is 13.2 miles north of us at 229 S Main Street, Medina. The unique taste of their pizza is due to allowing the dough to rise at a cold temperature over two days. This slow and steady process creates a dough with a slightly chewy texture. They offer a choice between a thin crispy base and a deep dish for all their pizzas. In addition, you can also request gluten-free cauliflower crust pizza.
Our favorite pizza here is the thin crust supreme pizza, with pepperoni, sausage, onions, mushrooms, green pepper, and black olives. Our vegetarian friends love their deep-dish vegetable pizza with olives, green pepper, onion, and mushroom.
